Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from your Google account via our authentication provider (Better Auth).

Resume data. Information you enter in the resume builder, including personal details, work history, education, skills, projects, certifications, languages, and custom sections.

Generated files. PDF and DOCX exports you create, and PDF files stored when you save resumes to your account.

Tool usage data. Text submitted to the ATS Scanner and Job Description Matcher, including resume text, job descriptions, match scores, and analysis results.

Guest session data. If you use the builder without signing in, your resume draft may be stored locally in your browser (localStorage) until you sign in or clear your browser data.

Technical data. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps collected automatically through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

• Authenticate your account and manage your session
• Save, sync, version, and retrieve your resumes
• Generate PDF and DOCX exports
• Run ATS scans and job-description matching analyses
• Improve the Service, fix bugs, and ensure security
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations
• Send essential service-related communications (no marketing spam)

Where applicable, we process personal data based on:

• Contract: to provide the Service you request
• Consent: for non-essential cookies and optional features
• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
• Legal obligation: when required by law

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service:

• Google: OAuth sign-in (authentication only)
• Neon (PostgreSQL): database hosting for accounts, resumes, and tool history
• ImageKit: secure storage of generated resume PDF files
• Vercel: application hosting and infrastructure

These providers process data only as needed to perform services on our behalf and are bound by contractual data-protection obligations.

We retain your account and resume data while your account is active. Resume version history, ATS scans, and JD match records are kept to provide the Service features you use.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Guest data stored in localStorage remains on your device until you clear it or sign in (after which it may be transferred to your account).

We implement industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for not sharing sensitive information in public resume fields unless intended.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our infrastructure and service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
